Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspections
Here at Rodney Plowman Restorations we offer Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspections so you’re better educated on the vehicle you’re about to purchase. Our Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspections includes visual chassis & structural checks, roadworthy mechanical inspection, brakes, lighting & suspension checks, engine, gearbox, drive-line & differential inspection and a general visual inspection of overall vehicle condition to establish a valuation guide. We also check the vehicle bodywork for historical repairs/damage eg. the vehicle is not full of body filler.
The images you see here come from a one-owner vehicle that came to us for a ‘rust-bubble repair’. We did not expect to find this when we started working on the ‘rust-bubble’ in question. Never assume a one-owner vehicle is free of sin!
GT Falcon Authenticity Reports
Purchasing a genuine GT Falcon can be a large investment, an investment you don’t want to get wrong. There are services available to help identify a GT Falcon, such as ACCHS Reports & Ford Verification Processes which are great for finding out historical options for a vehicle ID number. They verify that the supplied Chassis Number was sold with a specific set of options, whether it be engine, transmission or trim combinations, however it cannot verify the current state of the vehicle, or that the ID plate is still fitted to the original body.
Our Vehicle Authenticity Reports are designed to verify that the body is still a correct match to that ID plate. Key areas of modification carried out by Ford Australia to create a 54H body at the factory are checked & photographed for validity/authenticity. An image based report and a summary of authenticity is provided in the final report.
